Take a short trip to the small fishing village that is Windy Harbour. Located only 27 km from the centre of Northcliffe there is plenty to see and do.Point D’Entrecasteaux light house and lookout offers great views of the coastline with many sheltered bays and limestone cliffs to explore.The recently completed Cliff Top Walk which is part of the Pupulong Trail has excellent vantage points of the area at only 2.5 km long and wheel chair friendly it’s defiantly worth a visit.If 4 wheel driving is more your sport there is also access to the beach through the Windy Harbour settlement so you can explore the coast line all the way to the Gardener River.While you are visiting Windy Harbour why not try your luck at a spot of beach fishing at Salmon Beach.
Squeezed between giant granite monoliths that rise sky high out of the water, this pristine beach is great for surfing or fish and as the name suggests is stock full of Australian Salmon.
